Headcanons

Just like in his past life, Romani relies heavily on others to help compensate for his own shortcomings-especially initially as he adjusts to the new world and how magic differs, as well as brushing up on his medical skills. To that end, he looks to Kal'tsit for guidance often. Even if doing so is awkward given her suspected relationship with the previous Doctor...

He cares very deeply for each and every operator that joins them, even going as far as to over prepare whenever possible before operations for the sake of ensuring their survival-the complete opposite of his predecessor's mentality of progress at any cost.

Amiya is especially dear to him, in part the remnants of his past self from Fate sees her as a second chance to save someone similar to Mash, but her constant support has warmed his heart and made him feel more reliable and competent.

He has taken inspiration from the Last Master of humanity in terms of realizing the need to get far more physically fit for travel when needed as hiding out exclusively at the base won't always be an option this time around. To that end, he often asks Instructor Dobermann for extra training sessions to improve his endurance. While it's clear that in terms of combat prowess even the weakest operator would surpass him, and more often than not all recruits merely watch as he sets an even lower bar to surpass at his own expense, he pushes forward to improve for the sake of others and their struggles to come.

Despite the dire circumstances, a small part of himself felt as though this new world was a reward for his past efforts. Not only does he get to strive towards saving another whole population again and have the satisfaction of caring for others as a doctor, there is also the satisfied desire of being surrounded by beautiful magical animal girls (judging from his type of woman to be similar to Sheba~) to satisfy his NEET cravings.

Romani more or less lives upon coffee, though he doesn't have a preference to how it is prepared; he especially enjoys the way Amiya makes it for him.

Romani is very easily flustered when it comes to women expressing their affection for him, but beyond any physical attraction it is the chemistry they share which would decide if a relationship is pursued. (Amiya and Kal'tsit have a bit of an advantage in terms of shipping but potentially anyone could woo the Doctor~.)

Backstory

Story will be linked from fanfiction.net once I finish writing it.
Key elements to know for now are that Abby used her powers to resurrect the scattered fragments of Romani but was unable to force a place for him in the world, so instead she reached across dimensions to find another dying Doctor (that being the original Arknights one) and had Romani posses him in exchange for the promise that he would find the cure to the Infection.

Romani will still have amnesia, lacking any memory of his new body's past and only the haziest recollections of key people in his own past life.

As for how Romani will interact with the members of Rhodes Island old and new, only time will tell.
